ATTENTION Computer & Electronic Recyclers: Need help with some of your hard to recycle items? Call 303-781-1089 R2 Stewardship or R2S is a collaboration of Computer and Electronic Recyclers that have the same goal in mind: Responsible Recycling of computer and electronic material commonly called e-waste. Not all computer and electronic recyclers have large volumes of material to recycle therefore smaller recycling businesses tend to become more of a "storage facility" rather then a "recycling facility." R2S is the Recyclers Recycler...we truly want to help your business do the right thing. By assisting and working with other recycling businesses we straighten our network and expand our recycling solutions. Remember strength is in numbers and by recyclers uniting...we can begin to have more control over pricing and availability of our commodity. We work with other recyclers and purchase their material in any volume; this allows the recycler to have an immediate solution for material ready to be purchased by larger processors or manufactures. Look for an update of current recyclers that we are working with. Thanks for visiting.
Due to current and changing laws in Colorado on the State and Federal level, the face of electronic recycling in Colorado will change forever. On July 1st, 2013, Senate Bill 12-133 officially begin. The law is a ban, the ban states that electronics can no longer be thrown in our trash or landfills. State agencies must utilize a recognized R2 Certified Recycler. We want to make it easy and economical to recycle responsibly. Please let other know of this great service and help keep Colorado a Green State! Earth Day...Every Day!

electronic recyclers from Colorado were invited to witness the signing of Senate

education institutions in Colorado will need to utilize 14001 Certified Recyclers starting July 1, 2013. This will simulate job growth in
Colorado as Certified Recyclers are few and much work will need to be
done. This will also encourage other Colorado recyclers to become certified.

Attended The 22nd Summit for Recycling in Breckenridge, Colorado put on by Colorado Association for Recycling. It was an eye opening experience for R2 Stewardship as we took some much needed information from this summit. Thanks to all of the hard working people that put on the event as well as all the attendees. It was a pleasure to see how important the future direction of recycling in Colorado was to all the recycling entities both large and small. We truly need to come together and help shape our e-waste laws as it was also disturbing to find out the lack of recycling knowledge residents and business still have throughout the State of Colorado. R2 Stewardship has taken the life-long pledge to ensure that we protect our environment not for political or revenue reasons but because its the right thing to do. We our investing in our environment and communities of today to have a beautiful Colorado for future tomorrows.

Where is R2S Located?Electronic Recycling - Electronic Recycler
NORTH BROADWAY In February 2009 we moved into our main recycling facility which is located at 11100 W. 8th Avenue Lakewood, CO 80215 (303)781-1089 We strategically picked our location. We are near all the major freeways including: I-25, I-70, US 36 and 270.
SOUTH BROADWAY In January of 2010 R2 Stewardship obtained property in Littleton, Colorado and opened our 1st Drop-Off Center at 5809 S. Broadway Street Littleton, CO 80121 (303)794-3237 This is on a major street for maximum exposure and to make it easy to find.
Why choose R2S for your recycling solutions?
Our management team is committed to providing safe and professional recycling solutions for residential, business and private sectors whom require a responsible and efficient means of recycling all of your unwanted electronics. Another name used for this unwanted electronic waste is e-waste.
So far only 25 states that have implemented e-waste laws. Colorado has just began legislation in 2011 which would mandate statewide e-waste recycling laws. R2S has not waited for the State of Colorado to mandate these laws; instead we have taken many lessons and practices from states like California where e-waste laws are more stringent then most other states.
Responsible Recycling: What does this mean and how does this change the way R2 Stewardship conducts day to day operations and run our overall business? To begin to understand we must start with Colorado based computer and electronic recycling entities. Many "electronic recyclers" claim to do the right thing and for the most part most of them do...to an extent. To clarify this statement we will give you an example. An "electronic recycler" does a pickup for a business or resident and they pickup some old computers, non-working printers, some CRT monitors and an assortment of florescent light bulbs. Now the "electronic recycler" may break the computer down and separate its contents until there is enough to sell to a downstream vendor. Next, the printer can also be broken down and be recycled for its metal, plastic, motors and small logic boards. So far so good right? Not so quick...now we come CRT monitors. Where does this go? Good question. If the "electronic recycler" breaks down the CRT monitors where does the leaded glass tube end up? The "electronic recycler" should be able to provide the name(s) of the vendors where they are sending the leaded glass to if applicable. If the "electronic recycler" is not able to answer these simple questions or at least provide some proof than one should be concerned. Even though it is legal to safely dismantle CRT items, we at R2S choose not to break down any CRT monitor or CRT TV unless absolutely necessary. Finally, we come to the light bulbs. Most "electronic recyclers" are not able to handle florescent light bulbs. Sadly it is common for "electronic recyclers" to throw this material in their dumpsters; which is not the responsible recycling solution. We can go on and on with examples but the point is this...a "Certifications like ISO 14001" proves Serious & Responsible Recycling through documentation, processes, controlled forms, and standard operating procedures that they are doing the right thing. Third party auditors are brought in at R2 Stewardship's expense to verify that we are "doing the right thing" not for a little while but for the life cycle of our business. This is accomplished with overall company goals, open communication, strong team work and improvements that we will continue to make as the industry shapes itself. R2 Stewardship continues to strive for the utmost respect for our environment by making a pledge to do our due diligence when handling all material coming through our doors.
R2 Stewardship (R2S) is not just another computer and electronic recycler. R2S is a privately owned company with strong Colorado roots. R2S is a scale-able company and is able to perform our services to fit your needs. We rise above the rest when it comes to our customer service and true open door polices. We offer more than just responsible computer and electronic recycling...we also sell Laptops and Desktop Computers Refurbished by CompTia Certified Technicians. R2 Stewardship employs a staff who all share the same goals, which is to win one client at a time by face to face negotiations and handshakes. We all live in a very fast paced technical world but we believe in shaking all the hands of our current and potential clients no matter where they may be located.
